Western Riding is great on a friesian! Hotske is truly well rounded in her experience.  She likes to chase cattle, and if we get the chance, we'll try roping.  Below are some photos from 2006 and 2007 western shows on Maui.  According to Jochen Schleese at our last saddle fitting, this Billy Cook roping saddle fits her perfect.

Nobody's perfect.  She was in season on a show day and wanted to buck at the canter.  I didn't get mad at her.  We had fun anyway.  She would have bucked at home, so a show is not the time to try to "school" the horse. February 2008
