Maui Landscapes
Since I love to take pictures, this page is set aside to showcase Maui landscapes and scenery.  Unless otherwise noted, I took each photo personally with my Sony digital camera.  Enjoy!

This private peninsula is part of a horse Pasture in Hana.
Same horse pasture in Hana on Jan 25, 2004.  This tree is perfect for climbing.
Mother and baby whale Feb 7, 2004.  Taken from a two-man Kayak with my friend Kristen Decrausaz' camera.  It was my one lucky shot.  The mother breached 4 times and the baby kept going.
It's pretty spectacular to be right there on the water and have the whales do this.  You can hear and feel the concussion when they hit the water.  We were no more than 100 yards away.  The whales pointed themselves away from us and got further away each time.  This is a very good reason to be on Maui in winter.
January Lightning.  It took about 100 shots with the digital camera to be lucky enough to catch this bolt.  Part of the difficulty was the fact that the storm remained in the air was not connecting to the ground.
Everything grows well in Hana.  I like the way these vines are backlit by the sun.
Wailua Overlook.  Hana Hwy by Keanae Peninsula.
Wailua Overlook.  Same place 4 weeks later on a clear sunny day in October.
