Welcome to our Beach page.  It has been a long time of wishing and planning to take Hotske to the beach.  Mid June 2006 was her first time since a yearling to go to the North Shore of Maui.  Subsequent beach photos have been added.  Most photos taken by Traci Mau.

Here we are with our beach buddies Ahni and her horse Koa.  Like Hotske, Ahni has raised Koa and trained him since he was a foal.  This was Koa's second time to the beach and he loved it.  The trotted and galloped through the water making a big splash.

<----- I'm lauging because Hotske just did two sassy hops that unseated me a bit at the canter.

It didn't take long for Hotske to start playing in the water. She wasn't as confident with a rider on her back. She sank into the sand a lot.

Did I mention it was windy?
